Review: Falling for the Beast (Book 2 Modern Day Fairy Tale Duet) by Skye Warren...Sizzling Ending to a Beautiful Duet
4.5 Star Read:
Falling for the Beast picks up two weeks after the events of Beauty and the Professor. Book One broke my heart by Blake and Erin deciding to end their relationship to avoid problems with Erin's graduation and Blake's job. Both were in terrible pain missing the other one. When Blake discussed how he longed and ached for Erin it made me want to smack them both and then hug them.
The buildup of the inevitable reunion was fantastic and full of delicious tension, and terrible excuses! I love Erin. I love Blake. These two are compatible in every way including their dynamite sexual chemistry. Every scene between them is intense, emotional, and hot. These two get inventive and dirty. Did I mention there is a ton of sex in this book? lol
It is classic Skye Warren!
I love how Skye's characters talk out their problems and feelings. They have meaningful relationships that are based on many aspects of love. They also express those feelings in other ways as well...see above paragraph.
There are so many twists and turns in this novel! I thoroughly enjoyed it and cannot wait to read more of Skye’s books! This one will be great to hold you over until Concerto (Book 2 in the North Security Series) comes out!
The only reason I didn't give this book and overall duet 5 stars is that there feels like there are gaps in information among scenes. Some rather important details seem to magically pop-up and explain/solve problems. I still highly recommend this duet and plan on reading it again!
